Dr. Sumchai describes the nepotism, the corruption in the Hunters Point Shipyard disaster.
Nepotism is defined by Webster’s dictionary as political favoritism based on family relationships. In an email to the San Francisco Bay View, Laurence Pelosi verified that he was a Lennar senior executive in March of 2004 at the time San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, his cousin for whom he had served as mayoral campaign treasurer, had signed the Hunters Point Shipyard Conveyance Agreement at the behest of Laurence’s Aunt Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Gavin Newsom the current Governor of California’s cousin Lawrence Pelosi was Lennar’s Vice President of Naval Base Acquisitions and Darius Anderson who was with the Treasure Island Community Development had a fundraiser where he retired 400,000 dollars of Gavin Newsom’s campaign debt according to Dr Sumchai. Lawrence Pelosi is related to Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom. TDr. Sumchai states that Tetra Tech sent truckloads of waste to Keller Landfill near Pittsburg California in Contra Costa County making the problem a statewide issue and she raised this with then Governor Jerry Brown.

In the report it details how the cleanup decided to remove from the public record the elements that had short half lives under the theory that after so many years they would not be as much of a threat. Not only is this illogical, it doesn’t even begin to conceive of the idea of how half lives work. These elements are present, some of them are made by the other elements as they decay, they do not just disappear after the stated time frame. It is idiotic. and it is reckless. And these elements have to be cleaned up before any housing can be built which is impossible. The best solution is get all of the people away from these areas and figure out a way to stop the elements from polluting further.
Basically the Navy nuked San Francisco and for some strange reason, Pelosi, Feinstein, Newsom, Willie Brown and Kamala Harris have people living on these sites.

TCE discovery halts Fairchild Drive housing project

“An approved project to build 26 homes at 277 Fairchild Drive is being delayed by officials with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency after they discovered the site’s soil exceeded safety levels for trichloroethylene (TCE).

Representatives for the developer, Warmington Fairchild Associates LLC, say they will clean up the soil contamination over the coming months before proceeding with construction.”

” In a settlement reached with the EPA earlier this summer, Warmington officials agreed to clean up the hazardous vapors in the top layers of soil. In addition, they will inject “bioremediation” chemicals into the aquifers below, which will help break down the TCE contaminating the groundwater. “

Dr. Smadar Lavie states that mostly white people pay market rate rents on the northwestern side of the island facing San Francisco bordered in yellow on the map. They will receive comparable-size housing units in the new development. Most tenants of color live on the northeastern side facing Oakland and Berkeley and experience discriminatory treatment designed to exclude them from the new development.
“Most tenants of color live on the northeastern side, and Lavie says that they are facing systematic discriminatory treatment designed to exclude them from the new development. The northeastern side is deemed by the state’s Department of Public Health Division of Radiation Safety and Environmental Management to be so polluted and radioactive that in the development plan it is destined to be reserved as open space.”

EPA director on the TIDA development board.

“Though Treasure Island bears a certified EPA Superfund site identification number, CA7170023330, EPA officials like Jared Blumenfeld, TIDA board member who rose to direct federal EPA District 9, refuse to include this Bay Area toxic landform on the EPA’s National Priorities List (NPL) of Superfund sites online, thereby concealing the truth from potential Treasure Island renters.”

There is a picture of Paul Pelosi, Nancy Pelosi’s son and Jared Blumenfeld “Paul Pelosi Jr. poses with Jared Blumenfeld, federal director for EPA San Francisco District 9, when Blumenfeld was on the Treasure Island Development Authority Board.”

Jared Blumenfeld was the EPA Administrator for the Western District of the US in the Obama Administration. Jared Blumenfeld was appointed to the California EPA agency by Governor Gavin Newsom in January 2019.

Pelosi and the Treasure Island Land Grab By Michelle Malkin

Article explains the political connections to the developers of Treasure Island. To Nancy Pelosi’s family members directly involved in taking the island from the Navy and putting it in the hands of developers that just happen to be related or worked for all of the politicians in Nancy Pelosi’s tender care. They then put homeless people into the barracks of the island which is a superfund clean-up for nuclear radiation.

“Treasure Island is not a case of a small town that has relied on a local military base for its livelihood for decades. It is a land grab by politicians for well-connected developers. Tony Hall, the former executive director of the Treasure Island Development Authority, told us the city’s effort to develop the island is a “den of corruption.” Treasure Island Community Development, the prospective developer for Treasure Island, was granted a no-bid contract by the city.”

Media silent as Navy digs 1,280 radiological objects from Treasure Island

In 2014, Don Wadsworth, radiation specialist, a Navy subcontractor and now whistleblower, told NBC Bay Area We Investigate reporter Vicki Nguyen that an object the Navy photographed at 1101 Bigelow Court was a million times above the EPA limits for human toleration. However, in its 2014 Historical Radiological Assessment Supplemental Technical Memorandum (HRASTM), Figure 10, the Navy documents only this photograph of one radioactive object at 1101 Bigelow Court. Despite the Navy’s disclaimer, imagine this radioactive object multiplied 1,280 times. That is the total number of radiological objects Treasure Island Environmental Project Manager cited in March 2018 that the Navy located between 2006 and 2018. At the Hunters Point Shipyard, a single “deck marker” like this one is slowing down or halting a $8 billion development.

“At the March 2018 Treasure Island Restoration Advisory Board meeting, remediation project manager Dave Clark “recollected” that, between 2006 and 2016, the Navy unearthed 1,280 radiological objects, one for every two residents.”

Article contains many videos relating to the disaster, the last video in particular shows the radioactive lake created in the cleanup and the signs by the Navy warning of the radioactive site.

Navy does damage control for Pelosi, Feinstein and Lennar as it continues to claim Treasure Island and Hunters Point Shipyard are ‘safe’

Another $22 million down the rat hole?
by Steve Zeltzer, KPFA WorkWeek Radio
July 5, 2018

“The U.S. Navy had its every-three-months dog and pony show at the Treasure Island Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. The previous meeting included a Tetra Tech representative and a loud confrontation, but this time Tetra Tech representatives were not on the panel since there are now two Tetra Tech managers in federal prison for falsifying the cleanup records at Hunters Point and an ongoing grand jury investigation with likely more sealed indictments that could lead to further criminal action against the top management of Tetra Tech.

Since the scandal blow-up, however, Congresswoman Pelosi has arranged to get another $42 million from the budget reconciliation bill for more retesting on formerly tested contaminated land in the Superfund site at Hunters Point Shipyard. This is after $1 billion has already been expended by the U.S. government to clean up Hunters Point Shipyard and Treasure Island, which are both Superfund sites.”

“Behind the continued effort to push forward with both the developments at Hunters Point Shipyard and Treasure Island are Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who have deep financial connections to this development of the Shipyard and Treasure Island. Feinstein’s husband, Richard Blum, financially pushed for the development; his company has the primary contract to build condos at Treasure Island. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi’s nephew, Laurence Pelosi, was an executive of Lennar – in charge of real estate acquisitions – while she was pushing for the development and getting hundreds of millions for the “cleanup.””

“Former Mayor Willie Brown had been instrumental in arranging for the U.S. Navy to prepare the site to turn it over to the city for future million-dollar condos. In the meantime, they placed low income African American families and homeless on the Island.”
