Reuters looks into the nuclear contamination of the EPA Superfund site, Treasure Island which is in San Francisco Bay and it is being developed by contractors with close ties to Bay Area politicians. The City put low income housing on the former barracks and houses on the site. People are getting sick. The Navy and the city are trying to cover this up but kids are finding radioactive materials all over the island.
One girl who became ill had a jewelry box her “Treasure Box” with radium painted dials and radioactive beads. [Editors note: Fallout beads]

Why would these be on Treasure Island? Treasure Island was the Navy’s Nuclear, Biological and Chemical training school. They are exactly the thing you need to train sailors on how to detect radiation and so they buried these things in the ground for the sailors to find. And that is the only way they could have been dug up by this little girl in her yard or on the playground at her school on Treasure Island.
Most military bases who operated ships and airplanes had radium painted dials and markers used to operate machines, engines etc in no-light situations. When they realized that these markers were radioactive and that they were dangerous, these bases removed them and buried them in the ground, with no care that it might spread the contamination into the water table.
Most EPA superfund sites for military bases have the radium dial markers as one of the things that make it a federal cleanup site. Usually there are others like PCBs (dioxin) and Trichloroethylene (TCE), unexploded ordinance (which is quite common in the Bay Area). You can search for these specific chemicals on the Envirostor website which is the State of California’s Toxic Waste site or on the GeoTracker site which covers California and federal cleanup sites. The Geotracker map shows little squares that indicate a toxic waste location and if you click on them it will show the name of the site.
Treasure Island which is being developed for real estate by builders with political connections even though it is an EPA Superfund site for Nuclear Radiation; the city of San Francisco placed public housing on the site in the former barracks of the base. This is a course list from 1978 of the courses provided on the Island at the US Navy’s Command School and Damage Control School. Note the Atomic, Biological and Chemical (ABC) school was renamed Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) school.
The school built a mockup of a ship USS Pandemonium which they laced with Radioactive Isotopes and the sailors learned to find the radiation and use various techniques to clean the ship by hand and also use fire-fighting hoses to spray the radiation off of the ship and down the drain into the Bay. Also they buried radioactive materials all over the island for the sailors to find.
This most likely explains how a little girl had fallout beads in her treasure box, along with radium dials that were removed from ships which she found digging for “Treasure” on Treasure Island! Fallout varies in size the larger closer into a nuclear blast and when it forms, it becomes a bead or drop shaped piece of glass. The US Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory at Hunters Point Shipyard collected fallout at nuclear tests by specifically collecting this fallout for study by building collectors placed at the Nuclear Test Sites.

In the report it details how the cleanup decided to remove from the public record the elements that had short half lives under the theory that after so many years they would not be as much of a threat. Not only is this illogical, it doesn’t even begin to conceive of the idea of how half lives work. These elements are present, some of them are made by the other elements as they decay, they do not just disappear after the stated time frame. It is idiotic. and it is reckless. And these elements have to be cleaned up before any housing can be built which is impossible. The best solution is get all of the people away from these areas and figure out a way to stop the elements from polluting further.
Basically the Navy nuked San Francisco and for some strange reason, Pelosi, Feinstein, Newsom, Willie Brown and Kamala Harris have people living on these sites.

“The U.S. Navy had its every-three-months dog and pony show at the Treasure Island Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. The previous meeting included a Tetra Tech representative and a loud confrontation, but this time Tetra Tech representatives were not on the panel since there are now two Tetra Tech managers in federal prison for falsifying the cleanup records at Hunters Point and an ongoing grand jury investigation with likely more sealed indictments that could lead to further criminal action against the top management of Tetra Tech.
Since the scandal blow-up, however, Congresswoman Pelosi has arranged to get another $42 million from the budget reconciliation bill for more retesting on formerly tested contaminated land in the Superfund site at Hunters Point Shipyard. This is after $1 billion has already been expended by the U.S. government to clean up Hunters Point Shipyard and Treasure Island, which are both Superfund sites.”

San Francisco built public housing on two EPA Superfund Sites that contain Nuclear Radiation from the cleaning of US Ships damaged by Atomic and Hydrogen bomb tests in the Pacific.

While in her position in San Francisco and as California Attorney General she refused to conduct any investigation about the illegal firing of 6 Tetra Tech whistleblowers as well as other whistleblowers at the shipyard. Two managers of Tetra Tech are presently in prison for engaging in falsification of testing of radioactive material by Tetra Tech. Senator Kamala Harris has remained completely silent about this massive $1 billion criminal fraud scandal despite being personally contacted by residents and whistleblowers. She has also been silent about continued Federal contracts to Tetra Tech and it’s subsidiaries despite the massive criminal conspiracy to defraud the US government and public about the radioactive clean-up at Hunters Point Naval shipyard and Treasure Island.
“In San Francisco Hunters Point shipyard on February 8, 2017, the US Navy, EPA, California Department of Toxic Substances and San Francisco Health Department held an orchestrated dog and pony show to assure the people of San Francisco and the Hunters Point/Bayview community that they are properly protecting the people after health and safety whistleblowers have exposed the falsification of testing at the site for years.
After the 2nd world ships were tested in the Marshall Islands with nuclear bombs, brought to the shipyard and sandblasted with the resulting radioactivity being dispersed in the bay and area around the military site and housing in Hunters Point. It later became a Superfund site and under the Brownfield Act developers were given the land for housing and other development.
Additionally the African American community and their children have suffered serious and wide spread health problems including cancer and a 50% rate of asthma in children.
Government agencies are supposed to be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the highly dangerous Superfund radioactive toxic site have yet they have refused to call for criminal investigations and prosecution of Tetra Tech and Test America which were involved in bullying, harassing and terminating employees that spoke out about the systemic falsification of the tests of the toxics and dangerous materials at the site. SF Supervisor Malia Cohen said she needed to see a lawyer to investigate whether there should be a criminal investigation of corruption and illegal terminations of whistleblowers and trusted the Navy. San Francisco city officials including the San Francisco Board of Supervisors and politicians including Mayor Ed Lee, Nancy Pelosi and Dianne Feinstein have also refused to call for any hearings or investigations of the violation of health and safety rights and illegal terminations of whistleblowers including Michael Madry, a quality control manager of Test America and Federal OSHA Whistleblower Protection Program investigator and lawyer Darrell Whitman who was fired by OSHA chief David Michaels and former Department of Labor DOL secretary Tom Perez. Whitman was investigating the retaliation of Test American whistleblower Michael Madry and was prevented from protecting him through a merit determination. These workers are still fighting for their jobs back and have gone to many of these agencies including the EPA and OSHA to address these issues and they have charged that top government officials including former DOL Secretary Tom Perez have been engaged in a criminal obstruction of justice to prevent an investigation of the collusion of these agencies with the companies that are terminating health and safety whistleblowers.”
