Treasure Island, in San Francisco CA the Navy’s Atomic, Biological and Chemical (ABC) School Course List

Treasure Island which is being developed for real estate by builders with political connections even though it is an EPA Superfund site for Nuclear Radiation; the city of San Francisco placed public housing on the site in the former barracks of the base. For background on this problem look at this article by Reuters “A California Naval base shutters, and contamination lingers decades later” CONDEMNED: After the Navy closed the Treasure Island base in 1997, San Francisco planned much-needed new housing. Decades later, pollution lingers, leaving new housing a mirage.” REUTERS/Elijah Nouvelage.

This is a course list from 1978 of the courses provided on the Island at the US Navy’s Command School and Damage Control School. Note the Atomic, Biological and Chemical (ABC) school was renamed Nuclear, Biological and Chemical (NBC) school.

The school built a mockup of a ship USS Pandemonium which they laced with Radioactive Isotopes and the sailors learned to find the radiation and use various techniques to clean the ship by hand and also use fire-fighting hoses to spray the radiation off of the ship and down the drain into the Bay. Also they buried radioactive materials all over the island for the sailors to find.

This most likely explains how a little girl had fallout beads in her treasure box, along with radium dials that were removed from ships which she found digging for “Treasure” on Treasure Island! Fallout varies in size the larger closer into a nuclear blast and when it forms, it becomes a bead or drop shaped piece of glass. The US Naval Radiological Defense Laboratory at Hunters Point Shipyard collected fallout at nuclear tests by specifically collecting this fallout for study by building collectors placed at the Nuclear Test Sites.

Navy does damage control for Pelosi, Feinstein and Lennar as it continues to claim Treasure Island and Hunters Point Shipyard are ‘safe’

Another $22 million down the rat hole?
by Steve Zeltzer, KPFA WorkWeek Radio
July 5, 2018

“The U.S. Navy had its every-three-months dog and pony show at the Treasure Island Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. The previous meeting included a Tetra Tech representative and a loud confrontation, but this time Tetra Tech representatives were not on the panel since there are now two Tetra Tech managers in federal prison for falsifying the cleanup records at Hunters Point and an ongoing grand jury investigation with likely more sealed indictments that could lead to further criminal action against the top management of Tetra Tech.

Since the scandal blow-up, however, Congresswoman Pelosi has arranged to get another $42 million from the budget reconciliation bill for more retesting on formerly tested contaminated land in the Superfund site at Hunters Point Shipyard. This is after $1 billion has already been expended by the U.S. government to clean up Hunters Point Shipyard and Treasure Island, which are both Superfund sites.”

“Behind the continued effort to push forward with both the developments at Hunters Point Shipyard and Treasure Island are Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who have deep financial connections to this development of the Shipyard and Treasure Island. Feinstein’s husband, Richard Blum, financially pushed for the development; his company has the primary contract to build condos at Treasure Island. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi’s nephew, Laurence Pelosi, was an executive of Lennar – in charge of real estate acquisitions – while she was pushing for the development and getting hundreds of millions for the “cleanup.””

“Former Mayor Willie Brown had been instrumental in arranging for the U.S. Navy to prepare the site to turn it over to the city for future million-dollar condos. In the meantime, they placed low income African American families and homeless on the Island.”

Greenaction files petition to Nuclear Regulatory Commission calling for revocation of Tetra Tech’s License due to falsification of hundreds of soil samples at Superfund site near San Francisco Bay and homes. June 29, 2017

San Francisco – At a press conference Thursday, June 29, at noon in front of the Hunters Point Shipyard Superfund site in Bayview Hunters Point, San Francisco, many former employees of Tetra Tech and their subcontractors joined together for the first time in the most damning expose to date of the scandal-plagued radioactive contamination “cleanup.” The U.S. Navy contracted with Tetra Tech EC, Inc., to assist in the radiological cleanup of the Shipyard, a National Priorities List Superfund site.”

Kamala Harris Obstruction of Justice and Corruption Charges By SF Treasure Island Former Residents

California Senator Kamala Harris who is running for President of the United States was accused on 3/14/19 with obstruction of justice and involved in a corruption cover-up at the contaminated radioactive SF Treasure Island site by two former residents Felita Sample and Andre Patterson. 3/14/19

San Francisco built public housing on two EPA Superfund Sites that contain Nuclear Radiation from the cleaning of US Ships damaged by Atomic and Hydrogen bomb tests in the Pacific.

“California Senator Kamala Harris who is running for President of the United States was accused on 3/14/19 with obstruction of justice and involved in a corruption cover-up at the contaminated radioactive SF Treasure Island site by two former residents Felita Sample and Andre Patterson. They were attending a press conference by nuclear health and safety whistleblowers who worked for Tetra Tech which was involved in the falsification of testing results in the $1 billion dollar Eco-fraud scandal. This is the largest Eco Fraud in the United States but has not been covered by the major corporate media. Sample and Patterson are both cancer survivors who say that their cancers were directly caused by the highly contaminated Naval nuclear training site at the island. Kamala Harris who was formerly San Francisco District Attorney and California Attorney General before becoming a Senator, was personally aware of the charges of falsification of testing at SF Treasure Island and also the Hunters Point shipyard. While in her position in San Francisco and as California Attorney General she refused to conduct any investigation about the illegal firing of 6 Tetra Tech whistleblowers as well as other whistleblowers at the shipyard. Two managers of Tetra Tech are presently in prison for engaging in falsification of testing of radioactive material by Tetra Tech. Senator Kamala Harris has remained completely silent about this massive $1 billion criminal fraud scandal despite being personally contacted by residents and whistleblowers. She has also been silent about continued Federal contracts to Tetra Tech and it’s subsidiaries despite the massive criminal conspiracy to defraud the US government and public about the radioactive clean-up at Hunters Point Naval shipyard and Treasure Island.

SF Hunters Point Tetra Tech Whistleblowers Speak Out About Criminal Cover-up; Bullying

Hunters Point Tetra Tech safety inspectors spoke out on June 27, 2017 about the criminal conspiracy by the company to cover-up serious radiative soil and contamination of the community

“Hunters Point Tetra Tech safety inspectors spoke out on June 27, 2017 about the criminal conspiracy by the company to cover-up serious radiative soil and contamination of the community. They were bullied and terminated when they tried to stop the cover-up of health and safety dangers at not only Hunters Point but Treasure Island. Their lawyer David Anton has filed a lawsuit demanding that Tetra Tech’s permit with the NRC be revoked for defrauding the government with fake toxic reports.

Lawyer David Anton and Dr. Ahimsa Porter Sumchai also called for a criminal investigation by the San Francisco District Attorney Gacon and California Attorney General Xavier Becerra of Tetra Tech for criminal activities to cover-up the dangers of radioactive contaminants and toxic releases. Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi has covered up the criminal activity by Lennar Urban and Tetra Tech and members of her family work for Lennar Urban that are pushing these developments on radioactive dump sites.”

Nearly Half of Hunters Point Shipyard Radiation Cleanup in Question; Contractor Possibly Faked Data

NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit article by Liz Wagner

‘Navy review finds “inconsistencies” in cleanup contractor’s radiation data and says a good portion of it is likely fraudulent.

The Navy has decided to retest all of the Hunters Point Shipyard for radiation after losing confidence in Tetra Tech, the contractor it hired to clean up contamination.

A yearlong review of Tetra Tech’s radiation data by Navy consultants found that nearly half of it may have been faked. The consultants found inconsistencies in Tetra Tech’s test results and the Navy said that a good portion of it is likely fraudulent.

The revelations are the latest setback for the shipyard, the superfund site along San Francisco’s southeastern waterfront that’s slated for major redevelopment, including homes, parks and shops.”
